At the end of the first war, evil destroyed the ancient seal of

the Season Temple, leaving Thaumatur’s four kingdoms

trapped inside separate seasons. With two shards still

missing, a brigade of Mageborns and a Thaumaturi

princess must fight their way through the bigotry of the Barbarian

Nations to recover them. Mia’s world is shattered when she

discovers she possesses the magic of a long-forgotten people, the

Mageborns. Betrayed and deceived by those

she trusts, she marries the most unlikely man,

a man who doesn’t hide his bigotry well. With

only one clue to her birthright secrets, the Sword

of Light, she journeys to the Barbarian Nations

alongside her husband to discover that the

world which loathes magic harbors an

unspeakable clandestine. Will the darkness

infest the lands with blood, or will the love of

one woman and the courage of one man be

enough to conquer?
